The Securities Brokerage division of Capital Investments focuses on brokerage and custodial services for the Company’s corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals and private clients. Aside from spot transactions, the brokerage unit offers clients the advantage of margin trading, in addition to services such as portfolio reporting and investment advisory.
Local Brokerage
Through the Jordan Securities Commission (JSC), Capital Investments is a licensed broker on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), which is an affiliate member of each of the WFOE (World Federation of Exchanges), IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions), and the FEASE (Federation of European & Asian Stock Exchanges), in line with these organizations’ aims to promote cooperation and coordination between different exchanges across borders. The local brokerage unit is a leader in the Jordanian capital market, consistently maintaining a significant share of the market in terms of trading activity.
Regional Brokerage
Complementing the services offered by the local brokerage unit, the regional brokerage unit specializes in dealing and trading in the regional markets, including Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt and the GCC countries. The unit maintains key relationships with brokerage houses in each of the transacting markets, and is therefore continuously updated with market information and corporate news. Since all investments are maintained under the division’s custody, the regional brokerage unit provides all related services to their clients, including collecting dividends, private placements and stock splits. In addition, the division has opened the door for its clients to participate in regional IPOs.
International Brokerage
The international brokerage unit trades in international markets including the NYSE, NASDAQ, and LSE. In particular, the unit is the leader in providing brokerage services to clients trading in the global depositary receipts (GDRs) of Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC listed on the London Stock Exchange.
